So, who are exactly are you guys?

We're a nonprofit! Outgiven is a software service provided by Aprann. Aprann is a registered 501(c)3 that has a passion for bringing technology to those who need it most. We created Outgiven as a platform to help you connect others to your nonprofit's amazing work through relational fundraising.

Revenue from  Outgiven goes towards supporting Aprann's programs in technology enablement, such as equipping computer labs and bringing computer science education resources to Haiti! Learn more about us at https://www.aprann.org.

How does pricing work?

Outgiven charges no application fees! That's right, no monthly subscription fee and no application fee on transactions. Instead, we allow donors to provide an optional tip to Outgiven to cover costs and to support our nonprofit technology initiatives. If you would prefer to disable tipping, we instead charge a small monthly subscription fee and a small transaction percentage fee. See the pricing page for a listing of these fees.

Payment processing fees - These fees are collected by Stripe (our payment provider). As a non-profit, you should qualify to request a reduced non-profit rate of 2.2% for most card transactions. ACH is 0.8%. Stripe also adds an additional 0.5% for recurring payments. There are exceptions for international cards and currency conversion. Outgiven gives your donors the option to cover these fees in thier donations. More information on Stripe fees can be found at https://stripe.com/pricing. It is your responsibility to fully understand the Stripe fee model, as we have no control over those fees.

What kind of sponsorship programs can you handle?

The Outgiven platform was built with ultimate flexibility in mind. It can handle individual sponsorships, such as child sponsorships and student sponorships. It can also handle group sponsorships such as classroom sponsorships and team sponsorships. You can even do program or ongoing intitiatve sponsorships. We'd love to talk with you about your unique use case.

Does my organization qualify?

We partner with U.S. based 501(c)3 organizations that have a strong and established mission around education, skills training, or job creation.

What about identity protection for minors?

We recommend that sponsorship types that involve minors are configured as masked profiles. This means that the public profile will display blurred out images and de-identified information. Sponsors will get to see the unlocked information.

What will I need to get started?

​We have a brief form for you to fill out to collect some basic info and confirm that your organization meets the eligibility requirements to use the platform. Once submitted, we will setup your environment and notify you when ready (usually a couple of days).

Can I use my own payment provider?

Outgiven partners with Stripe, the leading PCI Level 1 payment service provider that is the industry standard for transaction processing and payouts worldwide. You will be required to link your organizational Stripe account to Outgiven for payment processing and payouts. If you don't yet have a Stripe account, we'll walk you through it. It's easy and it's free to create and connect!

What about payment security?

Outgiven is a PCI compliant payment gateway through it's partnership with Stripe. We never see or directly handle or store payment information, but rather it is routed through secure channels directly to Stripe. Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1. How do payouts work?

We parner with Stripe to provide a built in payment gateway. Payouts will be directly deposited to your account on a frequency of your choosing.

How does tipping work?

Donors are given the opportunity to provide an additional tip to Aprann at checkout/payment time. The tip is always optional. Learn more here.
